The Porter House was built by Dr. Frank Porter, a respected physician and surgeon in the
Windsor Community. The house served as both his medical office and private home. The
Porter House was built in the queen Anne Victorian style, and The Windsor Leader
newspaper reported, "Dr. Porter's magnificent residence is the prettiest house in
northern Colorado."
